Our Teaching Methods & Strategies

Montessori

  • A specific child-centered method of education that involves child-led activities.
  • Typical Montessori classrooms have children of varying ages with teachers who encourage independence among their pupils.

Thematic Approach

  • An approach to teaching that involves integrating all subject areas together under one theme. It crosses over subject lines and helps children relate basic academic skills to real-world ideas.
  • These themed units incorporate reading, math, science and social studies, as well as the arts for a well-balanced curriculum.

Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP)

  • A method of teaching where the teachers create goals for the children based on the individual, developmental level of each child and then find ways to support each child to meet those individual goals.

Senses Stimulation

  • A strategy, applied through sensory play.
  • Helps your child develop language skills, understand math and science concepts, refine motor skills, and develop a sense of self.

Activity-based Learning

  • A strategy, practically applied through activities which are rooted in the idea that children are active learners, rather than passive recipients of information.
  • If children are provided the opportunity to explore on their own and are provided with an optimum learning environment, then learning becomes more joyful and long-lasting.
